Baby Names by State is provided as a free reference for personal, non-commercial use. You may browse, link to, and share pages. You may not scrape the site at scale, republish it wholesale, or use it in a way that disrupts the service for others.

Accuracy

We work to present name figures accurately, but they are drawn from public government data and provided “as is,” without warranty. Counts below five per state-year are omitted by the source for privacy, so some rare names may not appear in every state. If you spot an error, please tell us at hello@babynamesbystate.co.

Third-party content and links

Name data is drawn from the U.S. Social Security Administration’s names-by-state dataset (public domain). The site shows third-party advertising and links to third-party websites, whose content and practices we do not control.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Baby Names by State and Purcell Analytics are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the site.
